Leaving SA

Tonight we leave SA and get a flight to Thailand, I havn,t posted on here for a while as not a lot has been happening.

The bikes are on their way by ship to Bangkok, we had a leaving do at our local bar last night.

Thanks to all who showed up and thanks to the Thumpers , the local bike club for making our stay here so good,

We finally got to go to a game reserve and got to see the big 5.

Bruce has been a star as usual and she has quit smoking but drinks more hehehe!!!

I,ve been a bit depressed lately as we have had a lot of hassle shipping the bikes and havn,t felt much like comunicating with anybody, but all thats finished now and we are looking forward to SE Asia.

Its been so long since I,ve been on here that I may have forgot how to put pictures up but I,ll have a go

Hiya Pete'nBruce, from Eddie and Sue McD in Manchester.
Only just got round to tracking down your blog, by phoning round the remains of the once-mighty Mainline organisation and got to Steve, now mechanic-ing at Tyrewise.
Will browse your log, slowly. Seems you're doing the thing, big-style.
Meanwhile, Pete , seen the new Honda V4 1200? Some machine, that is. Thought the one MCN was drooling over was was ridiculously sharp, for a tourer, then noticed Honda aren't that daft, there is a Tourer option.
Watched 'THe Kids Are Alright' documentary on 'The Who' last night. Tremendous. Will get it on DVD

Hiya Pete and Bruce, I've been worrying about you both cause you haven't updated your blog since May!! I thought you'd been kidnapped or something. You were supposed to leave SA at the end of May. Sorry you've been depressed Pete and glad you're back to normal (well as normal as YOU can be). Don't leave it so long on updating the blog Pete !! Well done on giving up smoking Bruce. Ron's back in Manchester at the moment, but we've not managed to get together yet. I don't know when he's leaving again. He had to come back to get his van MOT'd. We've had Dave's mother staying with us for a MONTH. We take her back down to Devon on Monday, can't wait !!! Anyway keep in touch. BFN Love Jeanette and Dave xxx

Heeey. I was wondering what was happening to my favourite blog. It is great to have news from you both and I am glad that the hassle of sending the bikes over is now behind. I hope that your stage around Asia is even better than the African one.
Good'n ya Bruce for quitting those horrible cylinders, and I hope that your man will take the challenge to go with you there too ;-) Let's put it this way: less cigarretes = more beer = win-win.
:-)
Missing you both and looking forward to reading more about your adventures.

Jeez You two! Just read 2008, West Africa, and then to Arusha. This is some expedition you're on! That probably seems ages ago to you and what've you been up to since? I'll find out a bit at a time. Eddie McD
